Shipman - Hissa Wedding on 3-27-09

Hello All: This past Friday night (March 27th) I had the honor of DJ'ing for a respected fellow wedding professional in the Cleveland area. Amy Shipman from "At Last Event Planning" and her new Groom, Neill Hissa said their "I Do's" and had an amazing reception to follow at one of my new favorite venues: Park Lane Villas. Park Lane Villas is located on the east side of Cleveland near Severance Hall and The Botanical Gardens. Check them out online by clicking here. - The staff was top notch and the vibe of the room was A-1. The stage area in the dinning room is perfect for most any DJ set up. I can't wait to get back there.

Amy compiled some of the area's finest vendors for her special day. I guess it comes easy to a wedding planner! She used 2nd Mile Productions for her videography, Z-Media for photography, Shutterbooth for her fun photobooth needs, Vincent Lighting for the extra lighting ambiance and of course me as her DJ!

I had a great time! The night went flawless! Thanks for having me Amy!
Oh Yeah, be sure to check out the SDE (Same Day Edit) video that 2nd Mile Productions put together by clicking here.

Again I forgot my good digital camera and had to rely on the trusty iphone to capture a few images of the night. Here ya go:

Goshe - Cain Wedding @ Manakiki on 3-21-09

Hello All: Wow is it nice outside today! - What a great way to cap off a busy wedding weekend. Last night, Saturday March 21st 2009, I DJ'ed for a very hip California couple. Jeanne Goshe and Patrick Cain had their wedding ceremony and reception at Manakiki in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. It was a quaint event with 84 guests in attendance but they partied like it was 1999, oops, I mean 250 guests. The dancing went all night and we capped the night off with one of my favorites: "Don't Stop Believing" - Journey. Congrats to Jeanne & Pat. Have fun in a Hawaii!

Here are more wonderfully terrible iPhone quality photos. I forgot my digital camera! (again)

This was the first open dance song of the night. I usually like to start it off slow and invite all of their family and friends up to join them and help celebrate. "At Last" - Etta James was used and it worked pretty well. From this point on the dance floor was full!
A full dinning room at the start of dinner.
(Look how good my BOSE L1 blends in. You can barely see it. Look for the blue light)
This is the view from the steps looking onto the cocktail/parlor area.
An empty dinning room before the guests arrived.
Here is a simple, single L1 set up. Clean, sleek and it takes up very little space!

Frolo Wedding @ Metro Club on March 20th

Hello All: First off, Happy 2nd day of Spring! - Man do we need this change of seasons. This has been one very long winter and I'm looking forward to the coming wedding season more then ever. Last night ( I love Friday weddings, especially in March ) I DJ'ed a wedding for a fellow North Olmsted High School Graduate - Mr. Jason Frolo. - It was a stellar evening from start to finish. Jenny and Jason and their entire family were warm and welcoming and made my duties as a DJ a breeze. The dancing lasted all through the night and we rocked out all the way until The Cleveland State University Vikings beat Wake Forest in the first round of the Men's NCAA basketball tourney (the game ended at 12AM). Jason is a high school basketball coach in Bay Village and was especially hyped at the end of the night. - Go Vikings! Congrats to Jenny & Jason Frolo!
more crappy iphone photos:
My dj rig right after set up was complete.
Their cake at the center of the dance floor - yummy!
This is the view from the Metro Club. The Metro Club has the best vistas in any Cleveland venue I have been to. I love the Metro Club's look and vibe. It's very very cool! This picture is just the view from one of maybe 25 large windows that surround the dinning area on 3 sides!

A day at the bay: Castaway Bay!

Hello All: This weekend the whole family took our yearly trip to Castaway Bay in Sandusky. Thanks to my parents (Ed & Randi) we all got to enjoy awesome water park fun and nearly 80 degree temperatures' during this cold winter March month. We started this tradition 4 years ago and Ed & Randi treat the whole "Jones Clan" as a Christmas present. If your all looking for a good break from the cold be sure to check out the many indoor water park options in Sandusky: Castaway Bay, Great Wolf Lodge or Kalahari. They are good fun for the whole family! Lots of water park rides, restaurants, snack shops and activities for you to enjoy. I suggest you go from a Thursday to a Friday. The crowds are a lot less then and the lines to ride the slides are much easier to take. This year Mason finally made it to 42" tall and he could ride the Rendezvous Run tube slide with me. It was super cool. He made sure to "humm" in the tunnels so that water would not get in his nose and mouth. It was so cute! I can't wait till next year. Well I'm off to enjoy a Saturday evening off. Until next time, Surfs up Dude! "Rock it & Lock it".

Here are a few pics of our adventure:

Kozub - O'Dell Wedding on 3-7-09

Hello All: Last night I DJ'ed a wedding at the Wyndham Cleveland Hotel for a great Chicago couple. Kara Kozub & Brian O'Dell. They had 200 of their closest friends and the party was decked out. It looked great plus it included some of the area's finest vendors. - Last night's line up included: The Wyndham, Z-Media, Shi Shi Events, Harpist - Xiao Lei Salovara and the florist was Heather Lily. (Click on the vendor names to jump to their web space ) - Continuing on with my crappy i-phone pics here are a couple of room shots from last nights shin-dig. - Enjoy!

table shots: way cool lapshade style center pieces.

DON'T FORGET TO SET YOUR CLOCKS FORWARD!
