Dawn & Jason @ Windows on The River

Hello All: This past weekend I found myself at Windows on The River, again. I love that place. It has such a killer vibe, it has a great look and the staff is some of the best in the city. They take great care of their clients and guests, but still know how to be fun and inviting. Ryan (the banquet manager) does a great job.

Dawn & Jason invited 250 of their closest friends & family to their overly fun and unique wedding reception. We played a little wiffleball garter toss, did the "Stanky Leg" and sang a song Karaoke style. It was all well received by their family and friends.

Here are the details to this fantastic night:

Date: Saturday February 20Th, 2010
Venue: Windows on The River (Cityview Room)
Video Guy: Corey & Jared (company withheld)
DJ/MC: Me - DJ Scott E. Jones - Jerry Bruno Productions
Memorable Moments: Like most weddings, there are a few things about this particular reception that I will remember for a long time. First off, Dawn & Jason did a very non-traditional garter toss. Both the bride & groom played baseball growing up, so instead of the garter removal and toss they tied the garter around a wiffleball and Dawn pitched it to Jason as he used the little purple wiffleball bat and knocked it into the single guy outfield. Later in the night we danced to the new craze "Stanky Legg". Okay, maybe not the latest craze, but it was pretty fun. Last but not least some of the bride & groom's closest friends had fun with a sing-a-long to "Two Ticket's to Paradise" by Eddie Money. (see pic below). It was a great night.

Here are my kick butt iPhone photos: Love em'.

Congrats Dawn & Jason. Thanks for having me be a part of your super fun wedding reception!

Price & Karoly @ Renaissance

Hello All: This past weekend was a whirl-wind. It started off with an amazing reception at The Renaissance with a kick-butt couple: JP and Rebecca, followed by my father's surprise 60Th Birthday Party complete with a RAD PHOTOBOOTH (Thanks Rob) and ended with a Monster Jam Valentines event with my wife and sons. It was an exciting weekend to say the least.

Here are the details of the Friday Night Reception I had the honor of providing music at.

Date: Friday February 12Th, 2010
Venue: Renaissance Cleveland Hotel (Grand Ballroom)
Photographer: Z-Media
Lighting & Special Effects: Ted with Renaissance A/V team
Memorable Moments: There are always a few. Again, the Best Man and brother of the groom (Josh) did an amazing job with his fun, witty, touching and sentimental toast. It was well received. Plus there was the "Walking in Memphis" sing along and the performance of "Bye Bye Bye". See pics below.

It's the amazing quality iPhone style photos. Enjoy!

Congrats to JP & Rebecca! It was a pleasure working with you on your amazing wedding reception. Go Buckeyes!

Carmen & Melissa @ Windows

Hello All: This past weekend was fantastic. I have been looking forward to Melissa & Carmen's wedding for a few months now. (They only booked me back in November or so). They are full of life and best of all, had a great attitude when planning their reception. This reception was my first that also included gaming tables for their guests to enjoy. Melissa & Carmen brought in Jackpot to provide 2 Craps Tables, 2 Black Jack Tables and 1 Roulette table. It was a hip, casino style reception. Well done!

Here are the details of this Vegas inspired reception:

Date: Saturday January 30th, 2010
Gaming: Jackpot
DJ: Me - Scott E. Jones (Jerry Bruno Productions)
Memorable Moment(s): As always, there are a few things that made this wedding uber fun and special. 1. The Best Man's use of a BOA and "40Oz" to get the party started. 2. The non-stop gaming and gambling (which at times made keeping the dance floor full a challenge) 3. The best man and the groom putting on a karaoke show with a classic 90's hip hop track. Nicely done.

Here's the always questionable quality iPhone photos of the evening:

PS. Melissa's dress had pockets. I have never seen that before. I don't know why, but I was completely blown away by that. What a concept!
Congrats to you both. I wish you all the best!
