Mustache's Galore

Hello All: This past Wednesday night I was invited to my first "Mustache Party". It was hosted by the talented Nathan & Marisa of Imagen Photography. It was part going away party for Mark Davidson and also a weekly Taco Tuesday gathering. (but on a Wednesday) Here is a taste of the fun we had. For a complete picture run-down be cure to check out The Imagen Blog.

It was great fun. Thanks for the invite! It's aways fun to hang out with fellow wedding industry professionals in a non-wedding setting.

Good luck in Bean-Town Mark. Your gonna kick Boston's ass.

Tiffany + Jaron @ The Club

Hello All: This past Saturday evening I found myself back at one of my favorite venues for a wedding reception: The Club @ Key Center. I love the vibe of this space. Private, classy, sitting on top of the city with a wall of windows that go straight to the floor right there at the dance floor. It's like your dancing on the city. Jaron & Tiffany chose to have their wedding at this super hip & swanky venue and the guests enjoyed it all, especially their "sweets" table! Tiffany & Jaron are a super cool couple. Very much in love and a ton of fun. Jaron can really cut a rug too. Always a good sight for any DJ to see.

Here are the details on the celebration:

Date: Saturday November 21st, 2009
Venue: The Club @ Key Center
Florist: Heather Lily
Photog's: Wes & Lisa (Z Media)
Memorable Moment(s): As usual, there were a couple: The grand entrance was a lot of fun. Just like this bride & groom. We started the entrance with "My Love" by Justin Timberlake and then we hit the crescendo as the bride & groom were introduced as "Mr. & Mrs." with "It Takes Two" by Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock (one of my personal favs). Jaron was also a good dance impersonator. He could break it down like "Carlton" via "It's Not Unusual" by Tom Jones and he did a mean impression of James Brown to "Papa's Got A Brand New bag". Rock on with your bad self Jaron, rock on!

Here are some kickin' iPhone pics:

The room view @ The Club.
The "sweetheart table".
Guest table setting.
Bose L1's set up and ready to roll.
Cake, Cake, Cake.
A touching poem toast from the Maid of Honor - sister of the bride.
The last dance: "You Shook Me All Night Long" - AC/DC
Congrats! Best Wishes! Have fun in Mexico.

Johnson + Clifford @ Courthouse (Real GOOD Pics)

Hello All: Okay, like usual my iPhone quality photo's do NO justice to what the event was really like or how well the brides & grooms planned the small details. Check out RAD's BLOG for the full rundown from last weekend with Lauren & Scott. Plus I personally stole some pics from the RAD blog (just because I was in them). Thanks Rob!

Good times, Good times. Thanks again Lauren & Scott! Congrats!

Johnson + Clifford @ Courthouse

Hello All: This past weekend I found myself back at a familiar venue: The Cuyahoga County Courthouse. My office provides entertainment at this venue many, many times per year but I myself have personally been there three times in the last month and a half alone. I'm beginning to really dig it. On Saturday November 14Th Lauren and Scott were blessed with not only a fantastic reception but a beautiful day as well. They could not have picked a better November day for a wedding. I was looking forward to this wedding for many reasons, I truly enjoyed working with Lauren & Scott during the planning process and I need to re-pay RAD by pulling a prank. (which the bride reminded me about). You see, every time Rob (RAD) and I work together he finds some sneaky way to pull a prank...and I never see it coming. This night, I was determined to repay the favor.

Here are the details on this RAD ass event:

Date: Saturday November 14Th, 2009
Venue: Cuyahoga County Courthouse
Florist: Heather Lily
Photog: RAD
DJ: Me, Myself and I. DJ Scott E. Jones - Jerry Bruno Productions

Memorable Moment(s): Again, there were many:
The toast: Done by the brother of the bride (very touching ).
The cake cutting: I have never before seen a bride smash it in her new husbands face so hard and yet the cake filled groom completely restrained, he was very gentle. Way to go Scott.
The Scott Edwards: There were a total of 3 people at the wedding with the same first and middle names: "Scott Edward" (Me, the Groom and a good friend) - how crazy is that?
The Prank: I waited patiently, like LeBron on the court, I waited for the game to come to me, then the opportunity made itself known. Rob and Jackie were seated at a table with the guests and when I noticed Rob had gotten up to take some dinner shots I took the opportunity to sit down with Jackie to make small talk, but really I was stealing Rob's watch that he conveniently left at his seat. I immediately took it to the groom, one of the other Scott Edwards', and he proceeded to put it on for me. It was not until the garter removal that we finally gave a hint (2 plus hours later). Scott and I kept asking Rob if he knew what time it was. Rob was a bit clueless until I pointed at my watch and then he realized he had been had. I think Rob would have left the reception without even knowing had we not given him a few hints. Finally the score is a little more respectable.

Current Prank Tally: Rob 2 - Scott 1.

Stay tuned. In the meantime, check out these kickin' iPhone quality photo's of the night:

Churchwell & Musbach @ Marriott Key Center

Hello All: Well, after a Halloween weekend off I was back at it this past weekend to start this busy November. Chris & Karrie put together one heck of a party. 255 guests. Some of Cleveland's best vendors and an amazing group of family & friends. I was looking forward to this reception for quite some time. Chris & Karrie are a young, energetic couple who were a delight to work for. I enjoyed every minute of this event. The party was so good it went until 1:00am.

Here are the details of this five-star event:

Date: Saturday November 7, 2009
Venue: Marriott Key Center (Cleveland, Ohio)
Video: Moonstruck
Lighting: Event Lighting
Cocktail/Dinner Music: The Travlin' Johnsons
DJ: Me, of course: Scott E. Jones (Jerry Bruno Productions)
Memorable Moment(s): The Jagermeister Musbach Family Toast. WOW- 255 guests all doing a shot of Jager at the same time. Awesome! On a more touching note: Chris & Karrie opted for the Anniversary Dance. Karrie's grandparents were in attendance and participated. On February 3rd, 2010 her grandparents will celebrate 70 YEARS! - Amazing! What an inspiration. They were the longest married couple in attendance by nearly 24 years. They were given a standing ovation.

The Head Table.
Smaller table set up.
Room view of Grand Ballroom - Marriott Key Center.
DJ set up on main stage.
Cake!
